Day 4 - Versailles and Giverny

4.84 Miles Walked
11,989 Steps Walked

Today we had a tour of Giverny (Monet’s studio), and then to Versailles. I could have spent several hours in Monet’s garden. The flowers were endless and in full bloom. They were also a bit crowded.

The kitchen in Monet’s house was dreamy.

This is a picture with our tour guide Kevin. He was born and raised in Paris and told us his American name came from his mom who loved American soap operas. :)

And now we are at Versailles. This is the hall of mirrors. For many of the time period, standing in this room was the first time people had seen themselves in a full length mirror.

Cameron was tired of French food, so we went for Italian tonight. It was a bit fun and swanky. Grace ordered a dish that they made in a bowl of Parmesan cheese.

After dinner, Grace wasn’t feeling well (she was a little off before dinner, so it wasn’t the food). She and Evan went back to the apartment and the four remaining walked to a neighborhood brewery, Mikkeller. It was very much like a brewery back home. We sat on the second floor by this lovely window and people watched.

That’s all for today! Another great day. The next two days are less structured so we can decide what we want to do. I was glad to not have to think these past two days, but now we are excited to do our own thing.
